[HOTEL] PULAU KETAM : HOTEL SEA LION

Pulau Ketam , literally translated, means "Crab Island". It is a small island located off the coast of Klang. count as one of the best fishing village in Malaysia. Pulau Ketam is the best opportunity for visitors to witness the natural beauty of fishing village.

There are plenty of hotel at Pulau Ketam. With a reasonable price. This is why Pulau Ketam is suitable for everyone to spend their holiday over here. Today, I am going to do a review on the hotel i stayed few weeks ago. "HOTEL SEA LION". This is the first time I stay at Sea Lion Hotel. So every of my review is very honest. This review consists solely of my opinions and thoughts and were not influenced in any way by the company.

"HOTEL SEA LION" is the only hotel in Pulau Ketam which listed in agoda.com. Near to jetty. Somehow, the picture posted in Agoda.com is DIFFERENT with what I saw. The environment is different, the room condition is different. LOL

HOTEL SEA LION been painted 2 colours. (Front ) A yellow colour. (Back) Purple colour. Both side of the hotel are consider facing the sea, so called “sea view” room. With a total of 6o rooms. The nearest hotel to the jetty. 

The hotel front desk is kind of messy and tight. But very clear that this hotel is operate by Chinese.  Right in front of the front desk, there is a shop where you can buy some food like chips, keropok, snacks and drinks. 

Look at this long and clean corridor. We can hear people walking and talking. So, please do not make some weird sound at night. Or else everyone gonna know what you’re doing. I do feel like at my own home when walking along the corridor. 

*Please do ignore my bag* LOL. As what you can see, things provided : bed, blanket, bath towel, toilet paper, cotton bathroom floor mat, soap, TV, and  air-cond. There are very basic facilities. Do not expect too much.  Don't expect a view or room service or a flat screen TV. As we have to understand that Pulau Ketam was a marsh land that was devoid of habitation. There's one thing that make me so frustrated where the bottom fitted bed sheet keep came off whenever I sleep on the bed. 

Don't expect a view or room service or a flat screen TV. The air-conditional is old and so do  the television. There were no remote controls for TV and Air-cond. TV signal is unclear. We adjusted the air conditioner vent to make the “cold wind” to blow directly to our direction. phewww .... 

There was hot water for shower and the water supply was clean. There is a toilet paper holder beside the toilet seat. Somehow the toilet paper is wet. They didn’t replace it to a new one. Grrrr….just take it as baby perfume wet tissue. LOL. Bathroom hanger is provided.

As we can see the whole process on how the poo being flushed, pass by the trapway and drop into the sea. So cool huh! Discover your poo from a small hole. 

We able to enjoy our very nice and amused sea view at 3pm. YES! IS 3pm. LOL . The tide rises at midnight. /.\ It’s too dark and we really see what’s outside there. But at least, I still get to see waves and ripples on the sea surface. 

HOTEL SEA LION  also provide bicycle rental service. Rm5 per day. Rent a bicycle and cycle around Pulau Ketam. Make sure you rent a bike and explore the beauty of Pulau Ketam, you’ll definitely find out how fantastic it is :D  

Overall, it is good for budget travelers. Get what you paid for. 

*MY SCARY FUNNY EXPERIENCE*

During the dead of the night, while we (me and my friends) enjoying our sleep. SUDDENLY  we  heard someone outside our room is trying to enter our room. The people is pushing our door so hard, very very hard. I’m so scared and my friend just jump out of bed and open the door to see what is going on out there. An old man was standing outside our room and trying to enter our room!!! Can you imagine how scary it is when someone pushing your room door at midnight while you are sleeping?!! The hotel receptionist (not sure who is the one be on duty) indicate this old man to the wrong room! The old man didn't even realise the number of the room he trying to enter is different with the number stated on the key. Maybe the receptionist is too tired but this is not supposed to be happen. This make us feel so scared and we can’t even continue to sleep.  Really hope they look serious into this, make sure they give the correct direction. Do not make the customers feel so uncomfortable especially during the night time!!!
