I love Taiwan. Taiwan is a beautiful country with multifaceted cultures. Just like our lovely country, Malaysia. Taiwanese culture is much like Malaysian Chinese culture but they have their own extremely unique aspects as well. Since Malaysian citizens do not require a visa when traveling to Taiwan, why not put Taiwan in my Bucket list? If there’s MUST-DO-FESTIVAL i need to plan for 2016, Pingxi Lantern Festival, in Taiwan would definitely be the one i can’t missed!

There are so many festivals celebrated around the world. Festivals are another great way to learn about the history and religious beliefs. Each and every festival is celebrated uniquely in different ways. BUT, there’s one festival which I like the most, and never miss a chance to celebrate during this AirAsia Free Seat Promotion, that would be the Pingxi Lantern Festival, in Taiwan. I would definitely grab myself a tickets!

Tradition has it that the “sky lantern” was invented during the Three Kingdoms period (AD 220-265) by Zhuge Liang. At first it was used to transmit military information, different from beacon towers yet ingeniously serving the same function, and is now generally recognized as the earliest ancestor to the hot air balloon. In the early 19th century the Lantern Festival was brought to Taiwan, where every year, at the beginning of the spring planting season, people would release “sky lanterns” into the air as a prayer for the coming year.

The history of Pingxi sky lantern is over 100 years old. Thousands of people will gather at Pingxi for the annual Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival. People write their wishes on these lanterns, which will then carry their prayers to the sky.

I wish I can write my wishes on the lantern, fly in onto the sky by myself. Looking at the lantern, flying as high as it can. Can you imagine how touching it would be especially when you're sharing this enchanting and blissful moment love one! I always believe everyday is a brand new day. Surprises can be happen at anytime anywhere!

Besides, I was planning for a girls trip and looking for beautiful country yet safe, Taiwan is the best choice.  Taiwan was ranked the 2th safest country in the world in 2015, according to a survey released earlier this month by U.S. lifestyle magazine Presscave. Women traveling by themselves need to take some extra precautions. I can now go oversea with my friends without worry.

If I Could Make A Wish!

If I could make a wish, I wish  to earn loads and loads money in my lifetime so that I could go round the World and try out every roller coaster!

I can't find any reason to stop me from visiting Taiwan and of course be a part of the Pingxi Lantern Festival.  If you were to die tomorrow, what would you regret? My greatest regret will be, not traveling aboard. Life is short, Living with no regrets!

I believe, I'll be there one day, writing down my wish!  See you soon, Taiwan!
