My preparation for Chinese New Year 2017!

Thursday

Happy Chinese New Year!!! Chinese New Year is on his way, and I'm getting super excited now! Me and my family start preparing few weeks before Chinese New Year. According to the traditions, this is the time to clean the house, prepare food for the feast and make banners and decorations special for the New Year.
Before the New Year comes, it is one of the Chinese New Year customs to clean the house from top to bottom to get rid off all the bad luck gathered in the previous year. I spend 1 week just to clean my room. Yeah, 1 week ... ( a moment of silence )

Me and my mum went to the market and buy those decoration stuff to decorate our house. Too many selection available, and not sure which to choose. We trying to be special, and wanna do something which is different from other family. So, we made a huge flower with “福” word in it. Nice right? The reason we use flower is because, we believe that flowers symbolize rebirth and new growth.

Since food is so central to the celebration, a Chinese-inspired dinner is a great way for you and your family to share in the tradition of our friends and neighbors. We buy New Year food and snacks. Well, basically Chinese New Year is a shopping boom time. Pork is one fo the must have during the Chinese New Year. To avoid the long queue, I follow my mum to the night market, or maybe i should say "Mid night market" to get the roasted pork.

With Chinese New Year just around the corner, I want to look pretty and gorgeous. I want to make sure people do drop their eyeballs when they meet me. So, I went for a hair makeover session and took HCG treatment! I know I might sounds crazy to some of you, BUT, that's what a women usually do right before Chinese New Year knock the door!

The hampers.  Whether you choose to send fruit, tea, wine, or a combination of delightful treats, a hamper can express a heartfelt message.  My father was diagnosed with heart disease, you can never know how important a healthy heart is util you get sick. This year i decided to have a wellness hamper. One of the product that I high recommended is Nestlé Omega Plus Acticol.

Nestlé Omega Plus Acticol is an adult milk powder with plant sterols which are shown to lower blood cholesterol. High blood cholesterol is a risk factor in the development of coronary heart disease.

Besides Nestlé Omega Plus Acticol, i also give Chinese New Year cake as it is considered good luck to eat nian gao during this time, because nian gao is a homonym for "higher year." Tangerine, tangerines in Chinese sounds similar to the word "luck" and orange sounds like the Chinese word for "wealth". There are so many things that you can give it to your friends and relative. In case you not really sure about the meaning of the food and snacks, i got some for your reference.
