Travel In Melbourne : 9/10月的墨尔本是你观赏樱桃花的最佳时机!是Cherry Blossom,不是Para Para Sakura!

Monday 480 Queens Rd, Wandin East VIC 3139, Australia

A Day In Singapore 2015

I born in Johor Bahru. Been living in JB for 10 years. After then, follow my parent to move to KL. When I was still living in JB, we always travel to Singapore (almost every weekend) to visit relatives, to shopping and of course makan makan. Singapore has become the second home of mine.  Ever since I moved to KL, I’ve never visit Singapore again. The last time I visited Singapore was 14 years ago. Singapore become so unfamiliar for me. Finally, I got the chance to visit Singapore after so many years, so many memories rise in the mind.

Before heading to Singapore, we ( my mum, me and brother ) decided to have a walk at Johor Bahru. Visit my father and go back to the restaurant we use to visit almost every week when I was young. The restaurant is located at Taman Sri Tebrau —— 江记 西刀鱼圆。

They serve a very delicious fish cake ( not that delicious as 14 years back according to my mum, but its still nice to eat LOL )! I miss this familiar taste so much, I couldn't find it in any restaurant in KL. Beside the fish cake, we also ordered a bowl of soup, some sort of "yong tau fu", grrrrr taste so good! Not too salty! This soup is perfectly match with their significant and special noodles!

I spend time walking alone on the street when I was in Singapore. I don't usually walk alone but when I do, I make sure I walk very slow, take a look at the building and people around me. Singapore is so beautiful, the street is so clean. This is the first time I found it so calm and peaceful when I walk alone on the street.

This Lor Mee is so delicious! I know some of the people out there love to put a lot of vinegar when eating Lor Mee, but not for me. I don't like vinegar... I prefer to eat it with lots and lots of chili padi! Weee!!  Singapore food doesn't seem much different with Malaysia food tho...hmm...

Spending my night at Marina Bay Sands and Garden By The Bay. Walking around, enjoying all the lights and music.

Singapore, see you again.

Tuesday

Dinner time! If you spend a long time to think what to eat for dinner, yet still can't figure out what to eat, why not try out! This the first and only Japanese food restaurant which called TORIDOKI. TORIDOKI is a Japanese restaurant which specializing in chicken dishes and Yakitori. TORIDOKI in Desa Sri Hartamas is the 1st international branch, and they decided to make it in Malaysia. Woohoo! In this restaurant, they maintained the Japanese culture as you can see in the interior design of the restaurant.

Otoshi - Yasai Shiraae
Whenever you're here, they will serve you appetizer before you enjoy any other food. This is the appetizer which they also serve in Japan. Otoshi is basically an appetizer which make from various type of vegetable with special sauce.

Yakitori - Toridoki RM8, Negima RM5,Tsukune RM11

You will never regret for trying this! Beside chicken, vege is inserted between the chicken so that you won't feel so oily and feel so fresh with every bite of it!

Negima is grilled chicken thight.

Tsukune is the combination of  Mune (Chicken breast), and sunagimo (chicken gizzard).

Konsai Salad RM18
This is a salad which make from different type of vegetables roots. It taste even better when it topped with cheese. Cheese lover high 5!

Nagaimo Garlic Butter RM12
Mountain yam, fried with garlic and butter. This yam is so soft and juicy. You can even eat this even though you do not have teeth. The butter smell so good.

You will never get enough of this, trust me! They will help you to cut into small pieces before they you are ask to eat. You may eat the chicken with 3 different type of sauce. I personally love the spicy one! Taste soooo good! After eating this, no one still need KFC anymore!

Baba Nyonya Food : Restaurant Big Baba

Monday

Still looking for a good place for Baba Nyonya food? Come, let you show you a place, Restaurant Big Baba, a peranakan wee family cuisine. Nonya cooking is the result of blending Chinese ingredients with various distinct spices and cooking techniques used by the Malay/Indonesian community.

The bright colour wooden door makes the restaurant easy to find! It doesn't have the modern design for the outer part of the restaurant. They keep it vintage, old school and special.

I've fall in love with this restaurant! The restaurant is decorated in the manner of vintage peranakan, the traditional Chinese Malays and antique-like furniture. Don't worry they provide air-cond.

Pong Teh is actually a Nyonya chicken and potato stew. Generally, it's a chicken stew cooked with potatoes. Suitable for children and elder people as the chicken and potatoes are soft. You don'e need to struggle when you're eating it!

Terung Masak Tempe RM12
Ahhh!!!! I love petai! When petai meet prawn, PERFECT! I couldn't understand why some of the people hate petai! For me, petai smell so good! This sambal petai udang is salty, sweet, sour and spicy. The prawn is fresh so fresh! I can eat this everyday!
